Guiseppe Maria Jacchini (1667—1727)

Guiseppe Maria Jacchini  (1667-1727) received his musical training as a choirboy in the San Petronio Basilica in Bologna, Italy. There he studied composition with Giacomo Antonio Perti and Domenico Gabrielli. He worked as a cellist in an orchestra at San Petronio Basilica and in 1688 was also admitted to the prestigious "Accademia Filarmonica." His compositions for trumpet follow the stylistic traditions of his teachers Petri, Torelli, and Franceschini.
